Overview
The M&R Red Chili DX 1820 is a freestanding quartz flash cure unit with an 18" x 20" curing area. Medium-wave, sealed tungsten-filament quartz lamps with adjustable intensity flash fast, and instant-on technology drops the unit to standby whenever the press is idle to save energy.
The lamps are split into three zones that run on their own or in any combination, so a small print only heats what it needs: less ambient heat, lower energy use and faster garment cooling. Flash time is set with the digital timer or by M&R's InkSense sensor, which shuts the flash off when the garment reaches the temperature you set and helps prevent over-flashing, dye migration and shrinkage on synthetics.
On newer compatible M&R presses (Challenger III, Gauntlet III and Stryker), flash duration, power level, the temperature sensor and saved recipes can be run straight from the press. A communication socket accepts an optional press cable or foot pedal, and the height-adjustable floor stand makes the flash easy to position and move.
