Overview
The M&R HotHead Fabric Compression System control module is the heart of the HotHead system, which gives garment decorators two ways to apply heat and pressure on press for fiber matting, ink smoothing and other specialty processes. The control module mounts on the front of a printhead arm, and its multi-function LCD display sets the temperature and heater type.
It runs both HotHead heat modules: the HotHead Roller, which applies heat and pressure with a rolling cylinder, and the HotHead FlatIron, which glides a flat, smooth heating element across the substrate. Heat modules are sold separately in 14" and 18" widths. Thermocouples and pre-programmed logic hold a constant temperature from room temperature up to 400°F.
A military-grade electrical connector, high-cycle flexible wiring and a long-life flexible sheath connect the control unit to the heat modules, and two small controllers adjust the up/down travel speed of the squeegee chopper bar.
